About The Show
JAMIE'S RETURN TO SCHOOL DINNERS
One year on and Jamie Oliver wants to find out what's going on with school dinners after British PM Tony Blair pledged 280 million pounds to sort out the mess and radically transform the food in British schools. He wants to see where the Government's money has gone and if it's enough to make the radical changes he suggested around the country. Good things have happened, but he finds that nearly half a million kids have stopped eating school dinners and another half a million have no chance of a cooked lunch.
With the help of dinner lady Nora Sands, Jamie continues his crusade for a "cooler, healthier, brighter Britain". He discovers that in one county alone there are 280 primary schools without kitchens, so he sets about solving the problem of serving them a hot meal every day. Can he get his revolution back on track?
Winner of two BAFTA awards, JAMIE'S RETURN TO SCHOOL DINNERS.
