Ten years working in Motorsport




Mark Howard's first employer was Bernie Ecclestone, the then 23 years old living the dream of many motor sport fans by travelling the globe with the Formula One World Tour. Beginning with the 1997 Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos, Mark spent three seasons travelling to over 50 grand prix from his home base in London. Originally pulling television cables around the world's racetracks, Mark progressed into producing, directing, then finally found his real love in reporting. Melbourne aside, Mark rates the Canadian and Monaco Grand Prix as his favourites, his most memorable moment watching Jacques Villeneuve clinch the '97 world title in Jerez.

Mark is an integral part of Ten's Motorsport team, having followed the V8's around the country, along the way pit reporting at Bathurst, hosting The Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series, Red Bull Air Race  and covering the Australian Formula One Grand Prix.

Mark has also covered the last two Olympic Games, Australian Open Tennis, Melbourne Cup's, AFL Grand Finals and a host of other weird and wonderful events in his varied role at Ten.
