A Passion for Motorsport

Kylie King's passion for motorsport began in her childhood, largely due to her brother, who was a keen motorsport fan - who would often watch V8 races, especially Bathurst, on television.

Kylie spent five years as a sports reporter/presenter at Prime Television in Albury - the home of Brad Jones Racing.  She built up her motorsport knowledge further covering the career of Jones in Auscar, Nascar, Super Tourers and V8 Supercars, as well as Wodonga based Nathan Pretty.
She spent another three years as a sports reporter in the newsroom at Network Ten Melbourne covering a variety of sport.  While AFL and cricket were the predominant sports, Kylie carved a niche as the Melbourne based motorsport reporter for news and Sports Tonight.  She was also a back-up sports presenter to Stephen Quartermain.

After branching out behind the scenes as Communications Manager at the AFL Players' Association, Kylie was lured back to television and motorsport, joining RPM in 2003.

Since then, Kylie has covered stories at V8 Supercar events, including the historic round at Shanghai in 2005, Formula 1 Grand Prix, Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, Australian Rally Championship, Rally Australia and more.  A highlight was travelling to the United States in 2006 for an RPM in-depth profile on motocross star, Chad Reed.
