NCIS

NCIS follows a team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service of the United States Navy.

NCIS - Naval Criminal Investigative Service is more than just an action drama. It's a program that focuses on the complex and interesting dynamics of a team required to work together in highly stressful situations.

As it is a federal law enforcement agency with jurisdiction on crimes involving persons and property associated with the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps the team is often assigned to high-profile cases including:

The death of the President’s nuclear missile aide; A bomb situation on a U.S. Navy warship; The death of a celebrity on a reality show set on a USMC base; Terrorist threats; Kidnappings

About the program

In an effort to accurately depict the NCIS agents on screen, the producers are assisted with the help of actual NCIS agents.  Cast members continually meet with agents to gain a greater insight into their day-to-day operations.  The program’s writers receive continuous input of investigations that are in turn portrayed on-screen.

The characters

Leading the agents is NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, a former Marine gunnery sergeant, whose skills as an investigator are incomparable. Gibbs is a man of few words.

Working under Gibbs is Special Agent Anthony Dinozzo, an ex-homicide detective whose knowledge of the field and instincts are unparalleled.

Joining them are forensic specialist Abby Sciuto, a talented scientist whose wit matches her style and eclectic tastes, and NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee, an MIT graduate who is brilliant with computers. Assisting the team is medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard, who knows it all because he’s seen it all.

From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents travel the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy and Marine Corps ties.
